Aspects of Job Evaluation
Just as with the other five aspects of job evaluation, their hobbies - or that which they feel passionate about in their lives - may involve entirely different skills than their chosen profession. The most conservative accountant may be a lunatic when playing poker. What you need to know is that he hates his job and longs to break free!
In addition, people can be reluctant to risk money, but freely put their bodies in danger. If they have gravitated toward a job where safety helps with their success, they might bring this predisposition with them to the casino.
Likewise, if they have a self-image of conquering risky situations at work, they may think they can do the same thing in poker, whether or not they have the requisite knowledge.
I have given you an outline to apply job profiling at the poker table. It is not an exact science and you must do much thinking yourself to apply what you learn.
I cannot make profiling a person as simple as X means Y; however, analyzing his job may give you insight to the way he plays. You have had enough life experience to start your subconscious mind working to come up with some solutions for you.
Decisions in poker can be very questionable and you are often stuck looking for something that will make your decision a little more accurate. If you take the time to think about what your opponent does every day, you may just get that crucial piece of information that solves the puzzle for you.
