Opponent Playing Hands

This, in turn, tells you that they are unaware how to change which starting hands to play based on their opponents. They are going to have `absolute values' for their starting hands and are unlikely to change them regardless of the particular situation.

Of course, in the case of whimsical or weak players their `absolute values' may include almost all hands! Much of what your opponents notice will be obvious; they will verbally express the thoughts through criticism or griping.

If Pete fails to consider that Mary thinks she might hold the best hand (even though it is weak) in addition to calculating other potential winning chances the hand might have, when Mary calls Pete's bet, then Pete is unlikely to evaluate Mary's play correctly.

This makes it impossible far Pete to play optimally against Mary', and against you! Alternatively, if an opponent watches everything, never misses the action, and always knows who his opponents are, you can bet that they have other skills you must take into account.
