Personalities Identifying
Certainly, the more you know about your opponent, the better your ability to grasp the subtle tendencies in their play. Certain personality types like poker, and we should observe a disproportionate number of those types in a typical game. The people you are evaluating are often trying to hide their true selves from you.
One aspect of successful poker is disguising yourself from your enemy. Confusing the issue further is that everyone has personality traits that may seem to overlap! In each of the four categories, a person's trait falls in a range that leans toward one end of the scale or the other.
Frankly, it can be difficult to delineate even for oneself, not to mention a total stranger. At different times people can call on their weaker trait for service, and like anything else, it becomes easier with practice.'
Your first thought might be that `extroverted' people tend to bluff too often and `introverted' people bluff too seldom. Well, this may be true, but how easy is it for you to discern? It turns out that many people have what is `extroverted' feeling, and `introverted' thinking.
There are people who exhibit the opposite traits (`introverted' feeling and `extroverted' thinking) 6 . Because of this overlapping of clues, it can be very difficult to determine exactly from where their tendencies stem. A person who introverts thinking (extroverting feeling) may seem more likely to bluff too often, but will usually rely on their thinking to govern bluffing frequency.
The opposite type person would be more likely to act like they are very expensive, but make their decisions by the way they feel about a situation, that is, they are more whimsical in their bluffing frequency.
